A visit to the Dobbiaco Wildlife Park (Wildpark Toblach) in Carbonin Vecchia, or Altschluderbach, a hamlet of Dobbiaco village, promises an exciting encounter with the local wildlife. In the extensive grounds, you'll meet a variety of animals: adorable raccoons, majestic deer and roe deer, ibex and mouflon, domestic pigs, and cheeky goats. Lynx, snowy owls, buzzards, pheasants, and eagle owls can also be observed up close - a real treat, especially for children.
Right at the entrance to the eleven-hectare park, you can buy food for the animals. A small playground with swings and slides invites younger visitors to let off steam. The Mahlerstube, once known for its Tyrolean dishes and game specialities, is now closed. How to get to the park?
The Dobbiaco Wildlife Park is easy to reach: A road leads from Dobbiaco to Carbonin Vecchia, where parking is available. Bus routes 443, 442, and 441 also stop nearby.
On foot, you can reach the Dobbiaco Wildlife Park via a footpath that passes the Rienza Ski Lifts. Another walk leads from the park to the Gustav Mahler Composing Hut.

The Dobbiaco Wildlife Park stays open every year from April to early November, in spring only at the weekends and on public holoidays. In winter - from December to March - it is accessible only on certain days. The park remains closed in spring (April) and autumn (November).
Summer season start 2025 on April 18, winter season start 2025/2026 in early December.
