Vernissage 1525-2025
Info
Description
The exhibition 1525-2025: IRRUPTION - SUBVERSION - RENEWAL, which is part of the Euregio Museum Year, is divided into two parts: The first part is dedicated to the social and political issues of the period around 1500. Through the presentation of archival documents, works of art and everyday objects, perspectives on the Peasants' War that until now have been little illuminated are shown in order to make the multi-layered nature of the historical events and their complex causes visible.
The second part of the exhibition will open in September 2025 and is dedicated to the topics of social justice and social crises from a contemporary perspective. The exhibition as a whole thus builds a bridge between past and present and encourages reflection on the continuity of social upheaval.
