International museums day - Bolzano

The next International Museum Day in South Tyrol will be held on Sunday, 19 May 2024. The event includes a special themed free admission programme or an open day at numerous museums, collections and exhibition venues in South Tyrol.

Founded in 1977, International Museum Day is promoted worldwide by ICOM in order to enhance the social and cultural role and diversity of museums among a wide public. Internationally it is linked to the date of 18 May, but in the province of Bolzano, as in some other European countries, it takes place on the Sunday closest to this date to facilitate participation.
