Alta Badia Skiing Area

Skiing at the foot of the Sella Massif: The Alta Badia Ski Resort offers direct access to the Sella Ronda, the ski circuit in the Dolomites

Alta Badia is a renowned name in the skiing world and part of Dolomiti Superski. Snowboarders, skiers, freeriders, and carvers will find 130 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes at the foot of the Sella Massif. The lifts depart from the single villages: the Piz Sorega Cable Car in San Cassiano, the Piz La Ila Cable Car in La Villa, the La Crusc Lift in Pedraces, and the Col Alto Lift in Corvara.

Among the challenging descents are the Gran Risa slope in La Villa, the setting for the annual Men's Alpine Ski World Cup in Alta Badia, the black Vallon-Boè slope in Corvara in Badia, and the panoramic descent from Mt. Lagazuoi. Families appreciate the many easy slopes and facilities such as the Colfosco Kids Funpark, the La Crusc Kids Funline, and the ski kindergartens. This allows parents to explore the variety of slopes and enjoy South Tyrolean specialities in the ski huts.

Snowboarders and freestylers will find their haven in the Movimënt Snow Park Alta Badia, on the La Para Funcross, and in the Edelweiss Funzone. Access to the Sellaronda is included: This ski tour leads over four Dolomite passes around the Sella Massif and connects the Ladin valleys of Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Arabba, and Val di Fassa. With good planning, it can be completed in one day. Another attraction is the 80 km long Great War Ski Tour, which leads you beneath the rock faces of Mt. Lagazuoi, Mt. Conturines, and the Marmolada Glacier to sites from the First World War.
