The holiday region with its lovely towns of Bressanone, Chiusa and Vipiteno connects the Stubai Alps with the Dolomites

The town of Vipiteno forms the centre of the Upper Valle Isarco, as the area at the upper reaches of the Isarco river is called. In the hot months the high mountains ensure freshness. In winter, however, the icy Tribulaun in the Val di Fleres and Mt. Monteneve in the Val Ridanna valley crown the winter touring, cross-country skiing and skiing paradise on the slopes of the Stubai Alps.
Further south, around the charming bishop town of Bressanone, the valley becomes wider: Vineyards and orchards characterise the landscape, chestnuts grow on the sunny slopes where cultural highlights such as the Sabiona Monastery are located. The Valle Isarco, which reaches from Chiusa and the Val di Funes to the gates of Bolzano, is a popular Törggele area in autumn.
