Törggelen is a centuries-old South Tyrolean tradition. Above all along the South Tyrolean Wine Road and in the Valle Isarco valley - where grapes are grown and good wine is produced - harvest workers from near and afar were invited after the harvest season to an afternoon snack where the new wine and the "Suser", the grape juice before the fermentation, was tasted. By the way: The term "Törggelen" comes from the Latin word "torquere" and means wind, press (the grapes)...
